EMANUEL – FIFTH-GENERATION HOST

My parents Antonia and Wolfgang have made the SCHWANEN what it is today: A fully organic hotel with an excellent reputation. After years of travelling and learning in New York and San Francisco, I feel lucky to now be the owner and host here at the SCHWANEN. My mum and dad will now cut back and dedicate themselves to other tasks in the background. For me, this is an exciting time, and I am very much looking forward to it.

I have always limited my apprenticeship time with 10 years, 13 have become it in the end. I have been back in the Bregenzerwald since 2013.

The SCHWANEN is certified by the Biohotels as a climate-neutral hotel - we are happy to announce this, we are very pleased about this certification.

The SCHWANEN was rebuilt in 2009 with architect Hermann Kaufmann in the typical Bregenzerwald wooden construction. Reduce to the max was and is our motto.

For 2 years I have not let up with my desire to have my own vegetable garden, specially designed for the #wildeweiberküche in SCHWANEN.

The Biohotel Schwanen with restaurant in the Bregenzerwald is all about enjoyment for discerning guests. Awarded fourteen points by Gault et Millau, the Schwanen chefs also create something beneficial for health. The tasty lunch menu benefits from exclusively fresh ingredients from the region. In the family-run hotel, the sommelier's mother cooks and spoils the well-traveled guests with contemporary cuisine of the upper class.

The exclusively biological seasonal products serve naturally also vegetarian preferences. For half board, the popular hotel offers its 4-course menu in the spirit of Hildegard von Bingen. Traditional Austrian kitchen art leaves many choice possibilities to the pleasure-conscious guests. With special offers such as the "Wilde Weiber" getaway, interested guests experience an instructive tour of the hotel kitchen. Afterwards, five or seven surprise courses make for good and healthy living.

The organic cuisine of the restaurant naturally takes into account specific allergies. Purification and even fasting also show up as enjoyable options at the organic hotel. As the gentlest fasting, detoxification can be enjoyed with tasty spelt-vegetable reduction food.

Living in balance according to the motto of Hildegard von Bingen is particularly easy at the Biohotel. The right amount of air and light as well as drinking and eating can be found in the Bregenzerwald at any time. Leisure and work are also united in the modern Hotel Schwanen. Pleasant waking as well as sleeping are allowed by the rooms with extraordinary atmosphere. With a view of the mountains of the Bregenzerwald, the Internet access can be used particularly productively.

From the small lunch menu to healthy feasting: In the restaurant of the Biohotel Schwanen, transients and regular guests alike feel comfortable and welcome.
